Itinerary

Day1 Transfer from Delhi to Narkanda (Distance: 430 Km, Travel Time: 8-9 Hrs)

  • Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, transfer by car to Narkanda via Pinjore Garden and Timber Trail.
  • We will also pass through Shimla, the former summer capital of British India and now the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Reach Narkanda by evening, and check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day2 Transfer from Narkanda to Sangla (Distance: 161 Km, Travel Time: 7-8 Hrs)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Sangla via Jeori, Tapri, and Karchham Dam.
  • Karchham is also known as the gateway to Kinnaur Valley.
  • Drive through the scenic routes and have occasional stops in between for pictures and leisure breaks and refreshments.
  • We’ll also stop for Lunch at one of the hotels midway.
  • Reach Sangla by the evening. Have the entire evening for relaxing and exploring the nearby attractions.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Sangla Valley.

Day3 Local Sightseeing at Chitkul And Sangla Valley

  • After breakfast, we will visit Sangla and Kamru villages. There we will visit Kamru Fort on foot. The fort has a temple dedicated to Kamaksha Devi.
  • Sangla is a populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa River, famous for its highly fertile soil and houses built on a steep slope.
  • Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border, is a village in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is believed to be the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet border.
  • The Baspa Valley is the prettiest valley in the Himalayas. You will be awestruck by the panoramic view of the hills and houses in the backdrop with people farming in the foreground.
  • The evening is yours to explore the Chitkul Valley, click pictures, interact with the locals, and relish the local cuisine.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Sangla.

Day4 Sangla to Kalpa Local Sightseeing (Elevation: 2,759m/ 9,048 feet) (Distance: 40 Km, Travel Time: 2-3

  • After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Kalpa village, a journey that will take around 2-3 hrs.
  • On the way, we will stop at Reckongpeo. Reckongpeo is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. Here you will have a chance to explore the local market and shop for souvenirs.
  • We will have lunch in a local restaurant where you have a choice to enjoy Indian or Tibetan food.
  • After lunch, we will head over to Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages have a thick pine forest cover and are famous for apricots and apples cultivated in home gardens.
  • Kalpa is situated at an altitude of 2,759 meters from sea level, on the old Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 260 km from Shimla.
  • Kalpa will allow you to have the finest view of Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6,000 meters). You can enjoy the spectacular sight of this mountain early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Kalpa Valley.

Day5 Kalpa to Kaza via Nako Lake, Tabo (Elevation: 3,050m/10,010ft) (Distance: 200 Km, Travel Time: 9-10

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tabo, which is a journey of 9-10 hrs.
  • You will pass through Puh and Nako. We’ll have a stopover at Nako Lake and the Nako village and have lunch there.
  • Later, we will continue our drive to Tabo.
  • We will also be visiting the Gue village, which is also among one of the last Indian villages located on the Indo-Tibetan border.
  • Here we will be visiting the Gue Monastery, where you can witness the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk that is said to be about 500 years old.
  • In the evening, we will reach Tabo and continue our journey to Kaza.
  • Arrive in Kaza and check in to your hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day6 Sightseeing around Kaza

  • Today after breakfast, we will visit the village of Langza.
  • Here you can visit the famous Kee Monastery, and head to Chicham Bridge.
  • The Kee Monastery is an architectural marvel in itself. Situated at a height of 4166m from the mean sea level, this is counted among the highest-ranking monasteries in the Gelugpa Sect.
  • While you are approaching the Monastery, look out for fossils and witness the Yaks grazing in the lush green pastures.
  • You can also visit the nearest Hikkim and Komic Village if the weather is friendly. Komic Village is considered the world’s highest village at a height of 4450m connected to a motorable road.
  • You will also visit the Kibber village where you can take a stroll around to witness a big herd of Himalayan Blue Sheep and Snow Ibex resting on the mountains. You can have lunch at Kibber and relish the delicious Indian and Tibetan cuisine.
  • Return to Kaza in the evening.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Kaza.

Day7 Kaza To Chandratal Lake(Distance: 114 Km, Travel Time: 5-6 Hrs)

  • After breakfast in the morning, we will drive from Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kunzam Pass (15,100ft).
  • We will reach Baltal on the way, where we can stop for lunch.
  • Reach Chandratal, and be mesmerized by the deep blue waters extending over to a diameter of 2.5 km.
  • Chandratal Lake is a beautiful high-altitude lake located at an elevation of 14,100ft and is known for its stunning scenery and serene atmosphere.
  • We’ll set up a camp here. You can spend the evening enjoying the breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings.
  • Overnight stay at Chandratal Lake campsite.

Day8 Chandratal Lake to Manali(Distance: 120 Km, Travel Time: 6-7 Hrs)

  • After an early breakfast at around 0630Hrs, we will drive from Chandratal Lake to Manali.
  • The drive will take us through picturesque landscapes and high mountain passes.
  • Reach Manali by evening and check-in at the hotel.
  • You can choose to explore the markets of Manali and the nearby destinations on your own.
  • Overnight stay at Manali.

Day9 Manali to Delhi Drop(Distance: 560 Km, Travel Time: 13-14 Hrs)

  • After breakfast, we will drive from Manali to Delhi via Kullu, Aut, Hanogi Devi Temple, and Pandoh Dam in Mandi.
  • The drive will take us through beautiful landscapes and winding mountain roads. Upon reaching Delhi, we will drop you off at the airport or your desired location, marking the end of our tour.
