Itinerary

Day1 Transfer from Chandigarh to Narkanda (190 Km, 4-5 hours)

  • Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, you will be transferred by car to Narkanda via Shimla (195 Kms, 7-8 hours).
  • Shimla, the former summer capital of British India and now the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is nestled amidst the snow-capped Shivalik mountain ranges, offering stunning views of the mighty Himalayas.
  • Drive through beautiful villages like Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda apple orchards, and Hattu peak (3,400 meters/11,154 feet) at Narkanda, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Central Himalayas.
  • Overnight stay at Narkanda.

Day2 Transfer from Narkanda to Sangla (Distance: 160 Km, Travel Time: 7-8 hours)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kinnaur Sangla via Rampur, the gateway to the Kinnaur Valley.
  • Visit the Hattu peak (3,400 meters/11,154 feet) at Narkanda for breathtaking views of the Central Himalayas and the traditional wooden-carved temple of Goddess Kali on the top.
  • En route, visit the famous Bhimakali temple at Sarahan, Hawa Mahal, Cricket Ground, and the oldest Mahal of the King of Himachal.
  • This temple is known for human sacrifices made about two centuries ago.
  • After visiting the temple, continue driving to Sangla Valley.
  • We’ll reach Sangla by the evening. Check-in at your hotel and relax.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Sangla Valley.

Day3 Local Sightseeing at Chitkul and Sangla Valley

  • After breakfast, visit Sangla and Kamru village, and take a short walk to visit Kamru Fort, which has a temple dedicated to Kamaksha Devi.
  • Sangla is a populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa River, famous for its high fertile soil, and located at an elevation of 2621m above sea level.
  • It is built on a slope with houses rising one above the other, with the gigantic Raldang Peaks towering behind.
  • Chitkul is a village in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh and is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. The Indian road ends here.
  • The Baspa Valley is famous for its picturesque beauty with gentle slopes and green vegetation.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Sangla.

Day4 Sangla to Kalpa Local Sightseeing (Elevation: 2,759m/9,048ft) (Distance: 40 Km, Travel Time: 2-3 hou

  • After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kalpa village (2-3 hours).
  • On the way, stop at Reckongpeo and take a walk around the local market. Reckongpeo is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district.
  • Have lunch at a local restaurant with options to enjoy Indian or Tibetan food.
  • After lunch, visit Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are known for their thick pine forests, apricots, and apples.
  • The finest view of Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000m) can be seen from here, which is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light.
    Kalpa is located at an altitude of 2759m above sea level on the old Hindustan-Tibet Road, at a distance of 260 km from Shimla.
  • It has all the characteristics of a heritage village and came into prominence after British Governor General Lord Dalhousie's visit in the 19th century.

Day5 Kalpa to Kaza via Nako Lake And Tabo (Distance: 200 km, Travel Time: 8-9 hrs)

  • After breakfast, we will visit Nako Lake and Tabo Monastery, the oldest monastery in the Himalayas.
  • Then, we will drive to Kaza (3 hrs.) from Tabo, making stops at Dhankar village and monastery, as well as Dhankar fort.
  • We will have a cup of tea or lunch with a local family.
  • Later, we will continue our drive to Kaza where you will check in at your hotel.
  • The evening is free to explore the local market.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day6 Sightseeing around Kaza (5-6 hrs)

  • After breakfast, we will drive to Lagnza village where you can walk around, visit the monastery, and search for fossils.
  • You may also see yaks working in the fields or grazing in the pastures.
  • If weather permits, there is an option to drive to Chicham Bridge,Hikkim and the Comic Village, the world's highest village connected by a motorable road.
  • Later, we will continue to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber, once considered the world's highest village.
  • There is an option to hike to the nearby mountains to spot Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex in the evening.
  • Lunch will be at Kibber Village in a local restaurant with delicious Tibetan dishes.
  • In the evening, we will return to Kaza for a second night at the hotel.

Day7 Kaza to Chandratal Lake (Distance: 114 km, Travel Time: 6-7 hrs)

  • After breakfast, we will leave for Chandratal Lake, crossing Kunzam Pass (15,100ft), and reaching Battal.
  • From there, we will change vehicles to a Sumo and proceed to Chandratal Lake, enjoying magnificent views of CB Ranges Peaks on the way.
  • Chandratal Lake, with its deep blue water and a circumference of 2.5 kms, is believed by some to be the source of River Chandra and the spot where the god Indra's chariot took Yudhistra to heaven.
  • We will have a full day at leisure to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the surrounding snow peaks.
  • Overnight camping at Chandratal Lake.

Day8 Chandratal to Manali (Elevation: 2,050 metres/6,726 feet) (Distance: 100 km, Travel Time: 6 hrs)

  • Today, we will start early (06:30 A.M.) as it is the longest day of the journey, driving to Manali (4-5 hrs).
  • We will have breakfast at Chandertal Lake Camp, and then lunch at a hotel along the way..
  • Later, we will continue our journey over Rohtang Pass (3,980m/13,058ft) and enter the Kullu Valley.
  • We will reach Manali in the evening and check-in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Manali.

Day9 Manali to Chandigarh Drop(Distance: 310 km, Travel Time 8-9 hrs)

  • After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel.
  • We will drive you to Chandigarh via Kullu, Aut, Hanogi Devi temple, and Pandoh Dam.
  • We’ll arrive in Chandigarh by evening, and drop you off at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
  • This marks the end of the memorable tour and services.
