Day2 Full-Day Local Sightseeing in Shimla

  • After breakfast at your hotel in Shimla, you will start your day with a full day of local sightseeing in and around Shimla. Here are some of the highlights of the day:
  • Indian Institute of Advanced Studies: Also known as the Viceregal Lodge, this magnificent building served as the summer retreat of the British Viceroys during the colonial era.

  • Jakhoo Temple / Sankat Mochan Temple: Located on Jakhoo Hill, the highest peak in Shimla, Jakhoo Temple is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is believed to be the spot where Lord Hanuman rested during his journey to bring the Sanjeevani herb for Lord Laxman.

  • We will make stops for picture breaks, lunch, and comfort breaks.
  • If interested, we can also visit the Traditional Shawl Weaving factories in Kullu.
  • Arrive in Manali by evening and check in at the hotel. The evening is free to explore the local market of Manali.

Day5 Manali Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast at your hotel in Manali, you will embark on a local sightseeing tour of Manali. You will visit the following attractions:

  • After an early breakfast at your hotel in Manali, you will embark on an excursion to Rohtang Pass, which is located at an altitude of 3,978 meters (13,050 feet) and is one of the highest motorable passes in the world (subject to weather conditions and availability of permits).
  • You will drive through scenic mountain roads, passing Solang Valley, Rahala Falls, Marhi, and Old Kothi on your way to Rohtang Pass. You can enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and capture some memorable moments in the snow.
  • Around the afternoon, you’ll be transported to Solang Valley via Koksar, Sissu, and the Atal Tunnel. Here, you can enjoy adventure sports like skiing, paragliding and snow scooter riding, and more.

         Note: Rohtang Pass is subject to weather conditions, and it may be closed during winter months (usually from November to April) due to                 heavy snowfall. In case Rohtang Pass is closed, you will only be taken to sightseeing spots like Solang Valley or Gulaba, which are also             known for their scenic beauty and snow activities.

  • After spending a memorable day at Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley, you will return to your hotel in Manali in the evening.
  • Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Manali.

Day7 Manali to Chandigarh (Distance: 310 km, Journey Duration: 8-9 hours)

  • After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel in Manali and will be transported back to Chandigarh.
